Whether you arrive hiking the Rogue River Trail, or as part of a fishing, rafting or kayaking party, or as a result of a thrilling trip on river jet boats from Gold Beach, you'll be given a warm welcome by the staff at Paradise Lodge.
Technically: We are located on the Rogue River 52 miles upriver from Gold Beach, and 76 miles downriver from Grant's Pass. Access is by foot, canoe, kayak, raft, drift boat, jet boat or airplane (experts only). There are no roads or commercial power or telephones to Paradise Lodge.
Paradise Lodge is a rare gem in the wilderness and definitely worth the effort to get to!
HIKING
Many of our guests arrive and depart on foot. They claim that hiking the Rogue River trail is the best way to get here!
Located 28 miles down-river from Graves Creek, or 10 miles up-river from Foster Bar, Paradise Lodge is a wonderful and relaxing place to spend a night or two. The hiking trails into Paradise begin upstream near the historic landmark of Marial or downstream from Foster Bar Landing. Once you arrive in Paradise, there are scores of beautiful hikes ranging from five minutes to several hours.
Oregon is a hiker's paradise. From the Pacific Crest trail, which runs from Canada to Mexico, to the thousands of gentle strolls through valleys and mountains, Oregon is filled with hikes and campsites to fulfill any outdoor adventure, and many of those hikes are just minutes from Paradise Wilderness Lodge.
HIKING FROM MARIAL
From I-5 take the exit at Glendale (Exit 80). At the end of the off ramp you turn left and go about 3 miles to the old service station on the left (it is very small) and then turn right onto Brown Street which turns into Rueben Road. You will travel on this road for about 12.3 miles to the road on your left numbered 32-9-14-2. Turn left.
It is only at this point that there is a sign spray painted at the bottom "MARIAL". There are no other signs. From this point it is about 15 miles to the trailhead. Note: Road 32-9-14-2 is not in numerical order with other road signs. Park your car at the trailhead and enjoy the beautiful 3.5 mile hike to Paradise Wilderness Lodge.

JET-BOAT FROM DOWN RIVER
Feel the pristine rhythm of the river as you slice through thundering rapids and coast through gentle shallows stopping to enjoy the natural inhabitants of the Rogue ecosystem - bear, deer, otter, and eagles. RAFTING OR KAYAKING
If you are looking for a real adventure, travel to Paradise Lodge in either a raft or a kayak. Water is Class 0 thru Class 5 and loaded with fun and excitement. They call our river the Rogue for a very good reason.
It's twisting, winding path begins at the geological wonder of Crater Lake and meanders through the Rogue canyon for the next 200 miles, producing some of the most exciting whitewater rapids found anywhere. Rafting enthusiasts come from all over the world to tame the powerful and beautiful Rogue River.
Paradise Wilderness Lodge is only a short stroll from Blossom Bar Rapids, the first choice of thrill-seeking rafting enthusiasts from all over the world.
The Wild and Scenic section of the Rogue River is primarily a motor-less section, so you win big time! Enjoy the rapids, riffles, and slack water with the comfort that you are alone on the river with just other non-motorized vessels.
